25086 Markinch - a photo on Flickriver

25086 Markinch

            A smart 25086 - it had emerged from an Intermediate, it's last, the previous month - rattles down the grade at Markinch with a fine rake of LPG tanks.

The class 25/2 was based at Haymarket at the time and was to remain in service until October 1983

The working has long puzzled me as I'm not entirely sure where such traffic demand would originate from, Aberdeen perhaps.
