As the sun goes down over Dartmoor - NK2_8873

            The 'golden hour' on Leeden Tor on Dartmoor. A lovely moment of tranquility.
   
I was making my way back to my car after a short walk on the moor, and was hoping to get a sunset shot from the tor. However, I realised that after the sun had set, I would be finding my way in poor visibilty through an area of many small rocks (known as clitter) below the tor. 
I decided not to chance it and settled for a 'golden hour' shot instead.

I liked how the low sun caught the grasses, and the distant layers in the misty landscape beyond. In some ways I preferred the more muted tones to the dramatic tones of a proper sunset. .....All in all, I was quite happy with the result.
