6:35 AM - First Light @ Lake Lanier (0647-2)

            This is my initial shot of first light, at Lake Lanier, GA, as the morning started out over the tree line about 35 minutes before sunrise.  The colors changed by the minute, going from the orange in this photo, it changed over to more red, pink and violet hues, before rebounding to a golden yellow when the sun finally became visible.  

It was amazingly quiet when I arrived at the shore.  No one was on the lake yet and even the fish appeared to still be sleeping.  With nothing disturbing the water and the long 30 second shutter, the lake appeared as smooth as glass.  The grass reeds in the water can be seen reflected in the water, although you cannot see them against the dark backdrop of the far shoreline.
