Margaret Hamilton - a photo on Flickriver

Margaret Hamilton standing next to printed source code that she and her team wrote for the Apollo Guidance Computer (AGC). The computer was used on the Command Module (CM) and the Lunar Module (CM). The software pioneered techniques for multitasking and prioritizing tasks; the concepts are still used today. It would also restart under certain error conditions and get back to what it had been working on within a couple of seconds or so. That ability allowed the Apollo 11 landing to take place in spite of errors caused by lacking documentation and miscommunication between engineers.

I changed her hair so that I could pose her head more like it is in the photo that I was trying to mimic (commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Margaret_Hamilton_-_resto...). The scene had to be a bit wider to accommodate the Lego parts.
