Eguisheim, cuna del viñedo alsaciano, es una localidad francesa pertenecienta al departamento del Alto Rin en la región de Alsacia. Esta población, situado a unos 7 kilómetros al sur de Colmar (la pequeña Venecia) fue lugar de nacimiento del Papa San León IX. Forma parte de la ista de los más Bellos pueblos de Francia y es el punto de partida ideal para explorar la región de Alsacia. Eguisheim, posee una estructura muy peculiar. El trazado de este pueblo de forma circular y rodeado de viñedos es inolvidable. Sus calles con casas de entramados de madera y fachadas llenas de color forman tres círculos concéntricos en torno a los escasos restos del antiguo castillo octogonal del s. XIII.

Eguisheim, cradle of the Alsatian vineyard, is a French town belonging to the department of the Upper Rhine in the Alsace region. This town, located about 7 kilometers south of Colmar (little Venice) was the birthplace of Pope St. Leo IX. It is part of the ista of the most beautiful villages in France and is the ideal starting point to explore the Alsace region. Eguisheim, has a very peculiar structure. The layout of this village in a circular shape and surrounded by vineyards is unforgettable. Its streets with houses of wooden trusses and colorful facades form three concentric circles around the few remains of the old octagonal castle of the s. XIII.
