            Day 2 of 2009: A Year in Pictures. It was back to work today as a security guard in Columbia, SC. I put the camera on a timer, then set it on the dash board with it on ten second timer. If you look in the reflection of my glasses, you can see the Daily Report that I am filling out.

I've been in security since May, 2009 after being laid off from my TV photog job in December, 2008. I'm what some called "underemployed," but at least I am employed.

The contract between my firm and the business I'm working for ends at the end of this month. My firm tells me they'll find another position for me.

(As an update, the company that had contracted me out from my firm hired me out right a few weeks after I made this self portrait. About six months after that, I went back to shooting for TV news.)
