Night out under the Stars ........ - a photo on Flickriver

            I headed out last night after work to have a little play down at the dam .
I was pleasantly surprised to see the water level had dropped and there were more rocks exposed 
After a bit of a break from shooting at night I wanted to make sure I was familiar with all the settings and equipment and some new bits and pieces before I go away 
Very important to remember where that sweet night focus point is for different lenses
I set up one camera to shoot timelapse and started shooting panos with this one
It was so nice spending the night out there under the stars 
This is about 4am as the core of the Milky Way makes its way into the night sky slowly
I can see myself shooting at this time of day quite a bit while I am away
When I was doing a test shot for this I captured a awesome shooting star shooting across the middle under the Southern Cross with the lens cap on ... well it was starting to get moist I was cleaning the lens every second shot and I had just moved, very easy to overlook things in the dark
So this is one of the results from my night out under the stars
Its hard to take your eyes off the sky when you are out there
