Blodwenn catching the light - a photo on Flickriver

We were all chatting in our garden when I noticed how nicely her hair was lit up by the dazzling low sun and wanted to capture the wonderful colour contrast with the green leaves of the bay tree next to her. I was lucky it turned out OK as I was perching on the edge of the fishpond holding my new (3 week old) granddaughter in my left arm while holding the DSLR in my right hand, attempting an instant snap at the moment she turned towards me.

Blodwenn is a fine photographer who has just started posting to Flickr, including one of my favourite landscapes.
