Newleycombe Lake, Dartmoor - a photo on Flickriver

            Another shot from my walk on Dartmoor. Newleycombe Lake is actually a river* which joins River Meavy at Norsworthy Bridge, shortly before it runs into the Burrator Reservoir. The slightly hazy light enhances the peaceful mood of the beautiful ancient woodland with thick moss covering the large granite stones.

* In this part of Devon, the name "lake" usually refers to tributaries to small rivers.
