Catedral de Santa Maria de Toledo - a photo on Flickriver

            Imagen nocturna de una de las mejores y mas bonitas Catedrales de España, la de Toledo.
La catedral de Santa María de Toledo, llamada también Catedral Primada de España, es un templo católico de arquitectura gótica considerado por algunos como el opus magnum de este estilo en España. 
Su construcción comenzó en el año 1.226 bajo el reinado de Fernando III el Santo y las últimas aportaciones góticas se dieron en el siglo XV cuando en el año 1.493 se cerraron las bóvedas de los pies de la nave central, en tiempos de los Reyes Católicos; y está construida con piedra blanca de Olihuelas.
A esta Catedral tambien se la conoce popularmente como Dives Toletana y es sede de la Archidiócesis de Toledo.
