            Te lo prometto: tu molto presto non sarai nemmeno più un ricordo. Fossi stato più intelligente avrei potuto comprendere molto più facilmente, ma questo sono e forse neanche adesso posso davvero capire.
Ma aspetta ancora poco e io non starò più qui a guardarti, riuscirò a cancellarti come segno di matita sul foglio. Tutto sparirà, sparirai tu e sparirà questo mare che, forse, grazie allo iodio mi ha aperto il cervello; sparirà questo sasso enorme che esce dall'acqua, sparirà tutto ma soprattutto sparirai tu.
Se solo potessi essere migliore! Sarei migliore solo per te. Anche se adesso lo so che non potrai esistere più: troppo tardi, è sempre troppo tardi. Non sono mai riuscito a fare i conti con la realtà e infatti gli eventi mi sono finiti addosso come se questi scogli mi fossero franati sopra.
Pensavo di essere davvero felice, perché percepivo l'ombra della gioia, o almeno così credevo. Invece era l'ombra dei massi che mi franavano addosso.
No: di te, non dovrà rimanere neanche il ricordo.
