Welcome back to the Monkey House - a photo on Flickriver

My next workshop is in January!

The sequel to my most popular image ever, we needed to photograph the family with their second kid before the third (who is on the way) came out for the trilogy.

I have this and many other Extreme Family Portraits on my blog.

Strobist info: to keep the lighting directional, we shot mostly with small lights. An Elinchrom Ranger Quadra gel'd 2xCTS through a gridded 24" Lastolite Ezybox was used at camera left for each subject as a key light, then we accented the room with a bare Canon 600EX-RT was on the shelf at camera left to push light through the green vial, another gel'd 600ex-RT through the orange vial at the back of the room, a gel'd Lumopro LP180 through the purple vial, and bare Canon 600EX-RT & LP160 through a gridded Westcott Apollo softbox at camera right and behind for a soft cool separating light.

Shot with my WB set to tungsten and triggered with a combination of Canon's wireless trigger system and optical on the Lumopro flashes.
