I have never felt less like smiling than I have over the past 16 months and yet to look at this photo, you'd never know it. 

What I want people to take away from this photo is exactly that - a photo is simply a moment in time where it can be modified to (briefly) look however you want to appear on the outside. It doesn't necessarily represent real life or how you are really feeling. 

And that's ok. You don't need to share how you really feel with the world if you're not ready or wanting to do that. But make sure you have a handful of people you can really trust, who you can be completely raw and honest with. These people are your lifeline. Treasure them. These relationships are priceless.
