Fun with friends

            It truly is a privilige having an erupting volcano in your backyard. As of this writing, it has been exactly two months since the eruption began and it shows no signs of stopping even though it's behaviour has changed drastically. Thankfully it has caused no damage nor harm so far, but one must be careful while visiting due to dangerous gases and flying particles that can hurt you. To the far right is yours truly, and to my left are my friends Ólafur and Halldór. The hike to the site took around 60 minutes and was rather difficult while hauling a 12 kg. backpack with gear, extra clothing and food. We spent roughly 5 hours on site and walked a total of ~13 km. Shot with Canon EOS R6 + RF 28-70/2L.
