The wagons were available with three different chassis: the standard chassis has a wheelbase of 3290 mm, as well as the rear wheeled engine with the drive unit and radiator offset by 185 mm. The space conditions of the latter chassis again correspond to those of the chassis with a short wheelbase of 2980 mm. The standard chassis featured four-door sedans, two-door touring cars and convertibles B and C, while Cabriolet A, Roadster 2 + 2, Coupé, Special Roadster and Autobahn courier used the chassis with the engine retracted. On the short chassis there was the Sport Roadster and the Sport Coupé.
All cars are equipped with an eight-cylinder OHV inline engine with 5018 cc capacity and switchable Roots blower. The drive unit delivers 74 kW (100 hp) in suction mode and 118 kW (160 hp) with compressor. Semi-synchronized four- or five-speed transmits the power to the rear wheels, which depend on a helical suspension axle. The front axle also has coil springs. All four wheels have hydraulic brakes with suction air assistance. The cars reach a top speed of 160 km / h. The then price was 15,000 Reichsmark, which corresponds to today's conditions equivalent to about 100,000 euros. At an auction in 2008, a 540K special roadster from 1937 scored a price of $ 9.68 million. (Wikipedia).
