Basket of Strawberries Cake - a photo on Flickriver

            A two layer cake. First layer is strawberry cake, second layer swiss chocolate, sandwiched between those two layers is strawberry whipped cream. And topped it all off with chocolate buttercream icing, chocolate dipped strawberries, marzipan bees w/almond wings, and fake flowers lol...if i had time I would have made fondant flowers.

I made this cake for my husband's coworker. I only had 2 days notice so it's kinda messy and sloppy as i didn't have time to test the recipe and practice my piping. That basket weave took forever! Plus the icing (made from scratch) was so hard to work with my fingers hurt from squeezing the pastry bag AND the butter kept separating from the icing so i kept having to stir the icing around whew!
