Gants Hill underground station

After publishing my Baker Street underground station image yesterday I thought I'd follow it up with another iconic London tube station, this time at Gants Hill on the Central Line. This station is not in central London, but out in Zone 4 and takes 25 or 30 minutes to get there. But once you do get there you'll soon realise it was worth the journey time. It's brilliant Art Deco design is by architect Charles Holden and the station was opened in the late 40s. It's not a big station, platforms on either side of the pillars you see here and not much else but what it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in style.
