Garden Orb Spider macro against blue sky

I am afraid of spiders but I spent close to an hour taking photographs of a GardenOrb spider in my front yard. I wanted to get 'up close and personal' with him and this is one of my favourite shots from the day. I rotated it 180 degrees so that you can meet him eye to eye. Scary, eh? This spider can create a web 6feet wide within an hour or two. Every now and then I go walking down the driveway and BAM! I run into a spider web made by this little fellow or one of his family.
