Rest And Be Thankful - a photo on Flickriver

Landscape HDR photography from Arrochar, Scotland. My first ever HDR image with a little fluffiness in detail from the wind but an image that I really enjoyed playing with in the edit suite. High dynamic range of three bracketed shots in order to marry the exposure between land and sky.

A handheld capture from yesterday on a planned trip out, a break from my social isolation to areas where I could be socially isolated but not stuck at home. People were avoided!

'Rest and be Thankful' is the highest point on the A38 in Scotland at 803ft above sea level. To the left is the new road, which was temporarily closed recently due to landslides, and in the valley the old military road is visible. The Old Military Road was engineered by General Wade during the subjection of Scotland following the Jacobite rebellion. It was completed in 1750.
