Great Central Railway Loughborough Leicestershire 27th June 1993

            A GCR shed scene from 30 years ago.

Framed by Empress Road bridge Southern Railway rebuilt Bulleid West Country 4-6-2 34039 Boscastle on shed at Loughborough. 34039 was a survivor from Woodham's Barry scapyard and was the first main line locomotive at the GCR arriving in 1973. However it took until November 1992 being she was steamed again.

Currently the engine is under restoration again inside the shed.

Tyseley's GWR pannier tank 0-6-0PT 7760 is alongside painted in the London Transport red livery as L90 which it carried in its final working years before withdrawal by LT in 1971.
