            The week before, Barbara and I were taking pictures, she'd mentioned this dress, and next thing you know, here we are, at the park, taking pictures. 

April of 2011 I did over 30 shoots, was on fire, ON FIRE. I look back at that month and can barely believe it, I was scheduling shoots on Model Mayhem, taking folks out to the high desert, meeting folks from the internet, going to reservoirs, I did it all, used every trick in my book. 

Natural light, artificial light, daylight, lights at night, indoors, outdoors, new people, old people. It was the most fertile period of shooting I've ever had, and am 100% sure it made me a better photographer. 

Also met loads of interesting people, made several friends...man, this photography thing is excellent, I tell ya. 

BUT ANYWAY, Barbara and I, up in the hills behind my house, her in a fancy dress and sporting some perfect bangs, but also, she's wearing flip flops, forget what that was all about, so avoided any full-body shots, which wasn't really my thing back then anyway. 

Barbara, my first model! Hm...maybe it's time to take her picture again...
