The Milky Way on the Albis ridge - a photo on Flickriver

            This probably is the closest place for a Zurich resident to get a decent picture of the Milky Way. It's located just 7.5km south from the city center on the Albis ridge. The ridge provides a small window in the sky with relatively low light pollution where the Milky Way can be captured. The foreground was shot at the end of the blue hour and then I moved the camera next to the tree to capture the Milky Way.
