Columna jónica del Templo de Artemisa en Sardis 300 a.C. The MET, New York 🇺🇸

            Estas secciones provienen de una columna jónica estriada de más de 18 m de altura emplazada en el templo de Artemisa. La delicada decoración foliada del capitel es única, no teniendo paralelo en ninguno de los otros capiteles del templo aún existentes. El toro (base foliada), con un diseño de escamas, es también excepcionalmente elaborado. El capitel es un poco más pequeño que otros encontrados en el templo, lo que indica que no pertenece a la columnata exterior. En los pórticos este y oeste había dos pares de columnas similares, y quizás estas secciones formaban parte de uno de ellos o de ambos.
