Costa Rei di Muravera (Ca) - Lovely Flickr

            Costa Rei is a popular destination for tourists, most of which are from Germany or Italy.It has a church and many stores selling Sardinian arts and crafts. Night time attractions include the mini-golf course at Sant' Elmo beach, nightclubs, and open-air movie theatres.Costa Rei is located on Sardinia's southern coast, approximately 50 kilometres from the capital city of Cagliari. This stretch of coast is renowned for its crystal clear water, golden sands and long beaches. It also has a lake system that forms a nature reserve for rare avian species. Costa Rei is bordered by the bays of Sant'Elmo to the south, and to the north by Capo Ferrato, a nature reserve where no construction is allowed. The beauty of Costa Rei's captivating landscape is in every respect the equal of Costa Smeralda's, for here coves and long sandy beaches abound, set off by rolling hills with intensely green Mediterranean vegetation and imposing granite cliffs. 

Costa Rei è una frazione marittima di Muravera. Situata nella costa sud-orientale della Sardegna precisamente nel Sarrabus dista dal comune di appartenenza diversi km.Popolata per lo più nel periodo estivo è meta di numerosi turisti e rinomata per le sue spiagge chiarissime e a sabbia fine. La spiaggia è famosa anche per lo Scoglio di Peppino, in località Santa Giusta, un basso e largo scoglio visitato tutto l'anno dai turisti. All'orizzonte si può scorgere l'isola della Serpentara.Oltre alla autenticità delle spiagge che sono per la maggior parte libere, qui si trovano calette pittoresche e soprattutto un mare cristallino ed incontaminato.La località si estende per circa 10 km, da Porto Pirastu a Cala Sinzias, e ha il centro ideale ai piedi del Monte Nai (200 m) che dà il nome anche alla zona circostante. L'agglomerato urbano è diviso nelle zone di Sa Perda Niedda, Sa Murta (centro), Le Ginestre, Gli Asfodeli, I Ginepri (sud), Turagri, Rei Marina e Rei Plaia (nord). "Monumento" di Costa Rei è poi la "casa della contessa", l'abitazione più antica e non facilmente raggiungibile che abbraccia tutta la costa e da cui si può ammirare un panorama mozzafiato. Meta di tanti turisti, soprattutto giovani, la casa della contessa è da tempo abbandonata e interessata da molte leggende.Completano tre piazze (Piazza Rei Marina, Piazza Italia, Piazza Sardegna), animate le sere d'estate per i turisti.
