Community Hall

            The pièce de résistance of the Asian animal enclosure at the Melbourne Zoo is this Community Hall in the Elephant Village. The people inside looking through the windows are watching the elephants. This is a beautifully constructed reproduction of the sort of Sumatran building one finds in many little villages.

Monochrome is the perfect medium in this light and I hope it captures something of the spirit of the place.
