Standing Stones IR

Through my grandfather I have a Welsh heritage. He was raised in the little mining town of Treorchy, and in his teens started working in the pits as a coal miner.

Of course the Welsh are also from the Celtic tradition, and so like the Irish have an enormous regard for story and song. Their landscape was in generations past filled with sacred places that were often marked by standing stones.

So in memory of my grandfather and his experience growing up in Treorchy, here is the Treorchy Male Voice Choir singing a true Welsh classic: Myfanwy.
