Bald Eagle and several Black-billed Magpie

            This adult Bald Eagle was mildly discomfited by the cursory harassment of several Black-billed Magpies (there are five in the photo, if into the “Where’s Waldo?” thing). The eagle did shift around on the branch a bit, and gave some calls of annoyance, but eventually the corvids moved on and the raptor reigned in peace. This autumn scene unfolded in Carburn Park, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
