Another Pigeon Update - a photo on Flickriver

            Three weeks ago I posted images of the two baby pigeons in their nest. I said I would try to keep track of their progress since many people had not seen young pigeons before, which includes me. A week ago I checked on them and discovered there was only one in the nest. Before that they were doing fine and not changing much except that their orange fuzz was becoming more white. Now the remaining fledgling has dark feathers which is starting to get a bit of color like the adult pigeons have. She/he is so big I don’t know how two could have stayed in that nest!  The beak is still going through a transformation. I am guessing it won’t be much longer before this young one leaves the nest.
