Temple of Ramesses II at Abydos - a photo on Flickriver

            Scenes from the Battle of Kadesh in Syria against the Hittites.
The lower parts of the exterior northern and western walls show episodes of Ramesses II's Battle of Kadesh in beautiful incised relief on fine limestone that are, even if  not completely preserved,  possibly the finest in any monument ever built by Ramesses II.
