It's Not Hard to Figure out Why I Keep Coming Back to Alaska! (Denali State & National Parks)

            A view from a rise along the Little Coal Creek Trail in Denali State Park where I use the vantage point to capture a more sweeping view across this Alaskan landscape with the river valley seemingly covered with trees from end to end. The foothill mountains with this portion of the Alaska Range would be the upper most portion of that and signal a change, in both landscape and a contrast of colors, going from the more earth tones present to blues of the skies above. Denali, while most hidden in the clouds would be the final portion to complete the image. 

In order to capture more of what I felt was a large dynamic range in this setting, I use the in-camera HDR setting with my Nikon D800E. I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation while playing around as I learned how to work with DxO PhotoLabs 3 that I’d recently purchased after moving away from Capture NX2. I then exported a TIFF image to Nik Color Efex Pro 4 where I added a Polarization and Pro Contrast filter for that last effect on the image captured.
