99 5906-5

            Heute 15.05.2022 hatte die 99 5906-5 die letzte Fahrt. Somit scheidet die letzte betriebsfähige Mallet der Harzer Schmalspurbahnen nach 104 Jahren aus dem aktiven Dienst aus. Ich konnte die Lok bei einer ihrer letzten Fahrten vor 2 Tagen noch mal ablichten, hier bei der Ankunft in Silberhütte Richtung Stiege.
Die Lok wird nun im Lokschuppen in Hasselfelde abgestellt und museal erhalten. In den letzten 3 Tagen ihres Betriebsdienstes wurde die Lok nochmals von hunderten Eisenbahnfreunden begleitet und tausende mal fotografiert.  
 
Today 05/15/2022 the 99 5906-5 had the last ride. Thus, the last operational Mallet of the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen retires from active service after 104 years. I was able to photograph the locomotive again on one of its last trips 2 days ago, here on arrival in Silberhütte towards Stiege.
The locomotive is now parked in the locomotive shed in Hasselfelde and preserved as a museum. In the last 3 days of its operational service, the locomotive was again accompanied by hundreds of railway enthusiasts and photographed thousands of times.
