Dresden - Semperoper - a photo on Flickriver

            Die Semperoper in Dresden ist das Opernhaus der Sächsischen Staatsoper Dresden, die als Hof- und Staatsoper Sachsens eine lange geschichtliche Tradition hat. Die Semperoper befindet sich am Theaterplatz im historischen Stadtkern von Dresden in der Nähe der Elbe. Sie ist nach ihrem Architekten Gottfried Semper benannt. 
Vor der Semperoper steht das König Johann Denkmal. 

The Semperoper in Dresden is the opera house of the Saxon State Opera Dresden, which has a long historical tradition as the court and state opera in Saxony. The Semperoper is located at the Theaterplatz in the historic city center of Dresden near the Elbe. It is named after its architect Gottfried Semper.
The King Johann monument stands in front of the Semperoper.
