Brown Rat

            These guys often get a bad rep because of their city dwelling relatives, people need to learn that they have their place in the ecosystem too! Rats are great at cleaning up mess such as dead animals, decaying fruits and even our mess, we should be thanking them really! The rats down on Swanpool, such as this one, have even adapted to swim under the water and catch fish in the shallows, it has to be seen to be believed! You've got to admire these little guys. Humans are the most destructive species to ever inhabit this planet but the brown rat is the closest anything has got to wiping us out by carrying the black plague, the world would have been better off if they had succeeded!
