            Ik ben opgegroeid in Zoetermeer en daarmee ook opgegroeid met het sprintermaterieel. Ik weet nog goed de opening van het station Driemanspolder. Met veel lawaai (knalseinen) kwam de bekende sprinter het station ingereden. Ook nog een bouwplaat van de sprinter gehad. Veel met de sprinter naar school en op pad geweest en later met vrouw en koters met de sprinter vanuit Leidschendam naar Zoetermeer op visite bij paps en mams. Maar nu komt er toch een eind aan de inzet van dit materieel. Daarom er toch maar even op uit gegaan, om de laatste dagen van dit materieel vast te leggen. En ondertussen natuurlijk ook het nodige aan ander materieel vastgelegd.

I grew up in Zoetermeer and therefore also grew up with the 'sprinter' train. I well remember the opening of the Driemanspolder station. The famous 'sprinter' drove into the station with a lot of noise (blast signals). Also had a paper model of the sprinter. Went to school a lot with the sprinter and later with my wife and kids with the sprinter from Leidschendam to Zoetermeer to visit mom and dad. But now the use of this train type is coming to an end. That's why we went out for a say, to photograph the last days of this equipment. Made some pictures of the other trains also of course.
