Smith & Williams Architectural Office, Smith & Williams 1959; Garrett Eckbo, Landscape Design

            Architects Whitney Smith and Wayne Williams designed the Modernist style office building for their own offices in 1959.  They shared the building with other design firms including Eckbo's firm, Eckbo, Dean, Austin & Williams (EDAW).  The building was designed as a collaborative environment, creating a "creative crucible" for its tenants.
