La route fait du chemin / Evolution of a road

            Vous apercevez présentement, en direction nord, le profond corridor qui trace la vallée de la Jacques-Cartier. Au fil du temps, l’étroit chemin qui longe la rivière a subi plusieurs transformations. Les pêcheurs du Club Caché furent les premiers à ouvrir un sentier pour tenter leur chance sur les fosses à truites, plus au nord. Par la suite, les bûcherons et les draveurs ont emprunté ce sentier.

To the north stretches the Jacques-Cartier Valley’s deep corridor. Over time, the narrow road running alongside the river has undergone many transformations.  Club Caché fishing enthusiasts were the first to cut a trail to access trout pools further north. Later, lumberjacks and log drivers travelled the same trail.
