Scarlet darter (Scarlet dragonfly) teneral male
German name: Feuerlibelle (which translates as 'Fire Dragonfly')

Odonata - Epiprocta - Anisoptera - Libellulidae - Crocothemis - Crocothemis erythraea | (Brullé, 1832)

Judging by those cobweb filaments clinging to his wings, this poor guy was caught in a spider web - but somehow managed to get free, tearing his wings in the process.

The TG-5 being an underwater camera, I was of course in the water. The lens allows a minimum focusing distance of only 10cm - at a FF-equivalent focal length of 100mm - and this cute guy certainly didn't have any problem with the camera exactly that distance from his face - he was just curious :-)
