LA FONT DEL MINER - LA FUENTE DEL MINERO - THE MINER SOURCE

            I remember when I was little child and still spend the summer, my family rented a house in the mountains for three months. Mothers and children with aunts and grandparents, we stayed in the village and our fathers stayed in the city.
The truth is that, at least for children, it was wonderful, because we could go play wherever we wanted without anyone to take care of us while we were all watched by everybody.
One of the favorite distractions, was "go to have a snack at the source." In the evenings, our mothers prepared the omelette sandwich, some fruit, plastic cups and not much more.
And so we spent the afternoon, they talking and us playing and running from here to there. And the good thing is that all villages had their own sources and mothers dicided from one day to another which go to lunch the next.
Seeing this picture, all those memories  and more, have returned to my mind. But don't worry, I shall not explain.
I photographed in Ogassa, a small mining town about 100 km. north of Barcelona.
I just remember that this day, what I was seeking were autumnal woods and really I found this source that did not pay much attention until recently, when I noticed that even has a name "LA FONT DEL MINER" (The miner source ) There are not many like this.

Recuerdo que cuando era pequeño y aun se veranaba, mi familia alquilaba una casa en la montaña para tres meses. Madres e hijos con tías y abuelos, nos quedábamos en el pueblo de turno y nuestros padres se quedaban de Rodríguez en la ciudad.
Lo cierto es que , al menos para los niños, aquello era una maravilla, pues podíamos ir a jugar donde queríamos sin que nadie tuviera que cuidar de nosotros a la vez que todos nos vigilaban.
Una de las distracciones preferidas, era el  "ir a merendar a la fuente". Por las tardes, nuestras madres preparaban el bocadillo de tortilla, algo de fruta, vasos de plástico y poca cosa más.
Y así pasábamos la tarde, ellas charlando y nosotros jugando y corriendo de aquí para allá. Y lo bueno, es que todos los pueblos tenían sus fuentes y las madres quedaban de un día para otro a cual ir a merendar al siguiente.
De hecho esta fuente no tiene nada que ver con las que yo iba de pequeño, pero es que al verla me han venido a la memoria todos estos recuerdos y muchos más que no contaré para no hacerme pesado.
La fotografié en Ogassa, un pequeño pueblo minero a unos 100 km. al norte de Barcelona.
Solo recuerdo que aquel día, lo que buscaba eran bosques otoñales y encontré esta fuente a la que no hice mucho caso, hasta que hace poco observé que incluso tiene nombre "LA FONT DEL MINER" (La fuente del minero) No hay muchas como esta.
