At Home || Reva's Patio - a photo on Flickriver

            I always looked up to my Aunt Reva. Wherever she moved, she kept a lovely home and garden. Because she loved frogs, there were frog sculptures, pillows, art, and stuffies incorporated into every aspect of the homes she kept throughout her life. 

There was a time when she owned a condo in Florida, and out her back door was a gorgeous covered patio with tall stone walls with gravel and tropical plants at the foot of them. Between the gravel was a concrete floor with a long patio table with chairs, and hanging on one of the walls was a fountain that met my ears with a calming trickle. Of course there were frog sculptures tucked in with the plants and in various other nooks of the outdoor space.

It was a serene little get away in the middle of a busy condo complex.

I pulled some walls and windows from two other Scarlet Creative homes and built this hidden patio on the front of the Hanna House with my late Aunt reva in mind. If she were alive today, she would have loved Mr. Frog's Water Garden by Half-Deer.

There are some little differences. Rather than boots, she had flip flops. And instead of hot tea, there would have been sweetened iced tea. It was hot, muggy Florida after all.
