Dry Tortugas- Fishy Sunset - a photo on Flickriver

            Dry Tortugas is a hard place to get to.  Most can only do day trips, but if you plan far enough in advance, you can snag one of just a few camping spots on the island.  We bought tiny tents and tiny sleeping bags just for this one spot, because there are limits to what you can bring.  Camping is a must of you want to get any interesting images at all.  The Fort itself is the entire island, and they close it at night, so you can only really shot the outside.  Totally worth the trouble though.  This Fort has start points at certain locations, and this was taken way out at the edge of one of those star points, with my back to a 40 foot drop off.  I wanted to use the fish-eye to work the exaggerated features.  Glad we got some color that night because we only had one shot.  

This is actually an older image and I have posted some like it before, but with this COVID I am (like everyone else) am going through some older images.  Enjoy!
