The Early Face Of Love....(EXPLORED)

There are many things I am truly thankful for, one of them is Karen... as many of you know we are a team and we do everything together; both out of necessity and because we love to be in each others company.

This shot was taken in 1991 when we were much younger than today, it was taken with my film camera an Asahi Pentax K1000 film camera. The best thing about those film cameras circa 1988, was the anticipation of the end result. a sort of mystery game that you had no idea what you had till the film was sent away for developing... the inability to see your image until many day, weeks or even months after the photo was taken.

This process always made me so anxious; wondering if they turned out and how did i frame my subject, were my settings good enough and if they weren't... those images would be like a punch in the gut, to make sure the next time you got it right. On that trip I probably shot five rolls of Kodachrome Extra 400asa black and white film.
