Edgewater Motel (Faux Postcard 2 of 2) New Port Richey, FL

This is without question the most awful spot on US 19 in Pasco County.  I figured I'd have a little fun with some pics I took of this nasty place.  It would be nice if they'd at least knock down the stupid homemade Dogpatch-style OFFICE sign. 

* Built in 1951 and operated sometime into the 1960's by Mr And Mrs C.M. Lippert.

* Name changed to the Benchley Motel by owners Elmer and Virginia Benchley, date unknown.

* A new owner purchased the motel in 1996 and at that time presumably changed the name to Edgewater. He ran the motel until 2006 when it closed.

* Edgewater was purchased by the current owner, Edgewater Motel LLC in 2006. The motel was never opened under the current owner.
