St Petersbug Pier Observation Deck View - Downtown and Kitesurfer

            The view from the observation deck of the St Pete Pier showing part of downtown St Petersburg, the approach to The Pier, and someone parasurfing. 

Taken two days before the final closing of the St Pete Pier. The pyramid pier building was built in 1973 and is the second building to occupy the pier platform. The pier platform and the first building were built in 1926. The pier's platform and the concrete pilings holding everything up have met their life expectancy, and it will be cheaper to tear everything down and build something completely new.
