Draft Indenture for sale of Copyhold Land between Robert Grix, Richard Saunders, Elizabeth Amy, nee Grix, Saunders, and others, Alysham, Norfolk and Hillingdon, Middlesex, 1874 p5-6

            Draft Indenture for sale of Copyhold Land between Robert Gris, Gardener of Hillingdon;  Richard Saunders of 21 Brown Street, Bryonston Square, Middlesex; Elizabeth Amy, nee Grix, Saunders; Mary Grix; Elizabeth Grantham of Fringford, Oxford sold to Thomas Newton of Aylsham, Shoemaker. Dated 8th June 1874.

Edmund Hindry by his Will of 11th January 1862 left the Copyhold Land to his brother Robert Hindry and Nephew Robert Grix and Nieces. Also income to be paid to his sister Mary Hindry for life. Following the deaths of Robert and Mary Hindry the land put up for Auction at the Black Boys Inn, Aylsham. Solicitor William Foster, Aylsham. 

Robert Grix along with Robert Hindry had been originally admitted to the land on 13th May 1864. Robert Hindry born circa 1789 Aylsham died on 4th February 1869 at Oxford.  

Robert Grix born Aylsham, Norfolk, 1831 the son of John and Elizabeth Grix married Eliza Evashed on 5th May 1855 at Cheam, St Dunstan, Surrey. The 1881 census shows he was a Florist living at New Road, Hillingdon, Middlesex.
