Sign for Suspension Bridge Traffic reads: "NOTICE: Passenger Cars Only. Trucks, Buses and other vehicles use Steel Bridge, next corner."

Sign the Quaker State service station reads "Sterling cards honored." The service station had previously been a Sterling service station. The Sterling Oil Company of West Virginia was merged into the Quaker State Corporation in 1931. In 1936, Quaker State signed an agreement with the Standard Oil Company, today called Amoco.
