Stairs up from the Underpass to the Platform

            Recently at the train station of Albenga on the Italian Riviera. You wait for the train. The low sun casts a corridor of light on the stairs that come up from the underpass. A man with a yellow backpack carries his bike up the stairs. There is an empty soda can on the stairs that someone carelessly threw away.
