Haste ye back!

It's time to head sooth to visit parents in Edinburgh and on to Congleton to see son and new grandson, and a few old friends and work colleagues too.

But this is home. From the first time we crested the pass above Glenuig and looked out across Moidart to spot the little white houses dotted along the front at Acharacle above the shimmering silver of Loch Shiel in the distance, this has felt like the place I should always have been. I love the simplicity of life, the unspoilt natural environment and the authentic Highlanders who live here.

So now I return to the delights of crowded retail parks and motorways and the rut of life I dreamed to escape for so long. I look forward to coming back and raising the national flag of our next guests to our home in the Highlands. We've welcomed French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Singaporean, South African, Colombian, Venezuelan, American, Scots, English guests so far. Finland is in the pipeline.
