Bateleur_8779 - a photo on Flickriver

            On a day after heavy rain in the Kruger Park all the birds of prey were hanging out on bare trees to let the wind dry their wings.  By the afternoon all these trees were empty.  This bateleur was positioned close to one of the side roads and looking for easy prey to drop on.  This species has been a dream sighting for many years.  Ever since I collected cards from packets of tea; I think the bateleur was the first card in one of the sets.
