l'une des portes d'accès aux jardins du Palais Royal

            Au nord de Fès el-Jedid se trouve le Palais royal (Dar el-Makhzen). Construit au XIVe siècle, il occupe 80 ha et donne sur la vaste place des Alaouites. Le complexe fortifié se compose de plusieurs palais et méchouars, d'une medersa, d'une mosquée et des immenses jardins Lalla Mina. Le palais, où le souverain passe quelques semaines par an, ne se visite pas.
