Special:

- Designed by Harley Earl while the bodies were produced at Cadillac's in-house coachbuilder Fleetwood Metal Body Company, Fleetwood, Pennsylvania.
- The styling is highly influenced by the Art Deco movement.
- Technical innovations for 1938 included headlamps into the front fenders, column shift, a transverse muffler just behind the fuel tank, new wheels, a hypoid rear axle, horns hidden behind the grille, and a Synchro-Flex flywheel.
- They had a three-speed selective synchromesh manual gearbox and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.
- The Series 75 were offered in a wide variety of open and closed body styles by Fleetwood from two-passenger coupes to seven-passenger town cars with 14 cataloged styles offered.
- Optional dual sidemounts covers were hinged to the rear fenders.
- After a thorough reorganization, Cadillac was the only major brand that remained profitable during the "Great Depression".
- One source says just 4, others say only just 5 surviving vehicles today.
- Production ceased during the Second World War and resumed in 1946.
